Dust Properties

sketch of Tempel 1

Jochen Kissel
Co-Investigator

Max Planck Institut für Aeronomie
Lindau, Germany

Jochen provided his expert knowledge of the properties of cometary dust from prior experience with Halley and Wild 2. This allows us to study both the role of dust in the evolution of the comet and the nature of planetessimals forming the comet.
